Urban poetry
The first Disco Noir collection is infused with the modern and graphic appearance of the Braille alphabet. Eva plays with the texture of this alphabet to produce ton sur ton effects. Isolated words are agglomerated into sentences and then into paragraphs, creating an intricate canvas for the eye and for the touch.
The selection of contrasting materials further contributes to the tactile aspect of the bags. Layers highlight beautiful materials such as smooth full-grain leather, thick cotton, vinyl and an unusual material, neoprene, whose suppleness and lightness accentuate the geometry of the patterns. La première collection Disco Noir s’inspire de l’aspect moderne et graphique de l’alphabet braille. Eva utilise le relief texturé de cet alphabet pour dériver des jeux de ton sur ton. Des mots isolés, agglomérés en phrases puis en paragraphes, forment une toile à regarder et à toucher.
Les jeux de contrastes subtils se poursuivent avec l’utilisation de materiaux variés comme de la fleur de cuir lisse, de la bâche de coton épaisse, du vinyl, et d’un matériel inattendu, le néoprène, dont la souplesse et la légèreté mettent en valeur la géométrie des motifs.
